We see NINA (Tersia Harley) fingers dance over the keys, each note carrying the weight of a thousand stories then she sings and we are drawn into the world of Nina Simone Through her music and monologues, Nina recounts the highs and lows of her life and career.
We are taken back to her early days as Eunice Waymon, a prodigious child pianist whose dreams of becoming the first Black classical pianist were thwarted by racial prejudice. We journey with her through the civil rights movement, where her music became anthems of hope and defiance. We witness her struggles with personal demons and her unwavering passion for her art.”NINA” invites you on a mesmerizing journey through the life of one of the most iconic and influential musicians of the 20th century.
