It then moves into How to Disappear a feeling of loss and being out of sync, finishing with Harmony a gentle quartet to find balance. The opening chapter has music from Jóhann Jóhannsson Icelandic composer, Ane Brun a Norwegian vocalist finishing with Tokio Myers [Torville Jones] pianist and music producer born in London, choreographed by the Artistic Director Deborah McFadden.
Untitled choreographed by Kitty Phetla, originally created in 2013, relates to finding friendship, danced by the senior dancers of NDP, followed by Look up Child choreographed by Jody Sissing, created especially for the Junior Associates of NDP. The first half finishes with a NEW commissioned piece by Janine Booysens, Exhale a piece on being unbalanced and feeling insecure with oneself.
The second half opens with Pendulum interpreting the search of equilibrium. A variety of pieces follow, from Bach to Billie Eilish, choreographed by Deborah McFadden, with accompaniment by the young string quartet; The Limbada Family, and vocals by Nasha Van Zyl, a senior dancer at NDP as well as a DJ on Bok Radio. Before the show closes with a quirky piece called Virvelvind by Ane Brun meaning whirlwind, the senior dancers perform an extract from Journey, music by the Royal Liverpool Philhamonica Orchestra with violin concertos Augustin Hadelich – Hannu Lintu, choreographed originally in 2013, relating to finding equilibrium after grief.
